Sharing is Caring Sunday

This is a weekly meme hosted by Simply Sensational Book Fanatics

Thank you Sandra for introducing me to your meme, now I get to rave about the wonderful books that others need to get their greedy little hands on. The book I chose this week is one I have to admit was my favorite read for 2012.

When you're being hunted, who can you trust?

In this breathless sequel to Eve, Anna Carey returns to her tale of romance, adventure, and sacrifice in a world that is both wonderfully strange and chillingly familiar.

Once (Eve, #2)Once by Anna Carey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Loved it, so so so loved this book.I have to say def my best read for 2012! Fast paced and dramatic. Alluring and romantic. oh so romantic. And somewhat devastatingly beautiful. This is why I love dystopian crossed novels. My feelings during and for this book. I cant contain it.
Favorite passage:
"I've fallen in love with you," he whispered, kneeling to kiss the top of my hand. He stayed there for a moment, smiling up at me, before helping me from the boat.
I started up the stone steps, every inch of me humming with a new energy. I wanted to scream it then - I love you I love you I love you - to grab his hand and run away from the Palace, these people, that bridge.
"Good night, Miss," he said loudly, as though I were any other stranger. "I hope you enjoyed your evening."
The woman who had greeted me was still standing beneath the overhang. I walked toward her, but not before turning back, my eyes wet. "I love you, too." I mouthed.
It didnt seem stupid, or foolish, or wrong. I'd said some-thing I'd always known, the admission sending me into the happiest, irreversible free fall."

Grab this book, its the second in the Eve Trilogy. Def a brilliant series to get into.

About The Broken Destiny

Ava is third generation of The Broken kind who reside on a planet called Poseidon. The Broken share this planet with an ancient race known as the Minoans. The Broken are a breed of humans who evolved from a program that was constructed to save human kind from harsh conditions back on Earth. But Ava knows much more, and feels much more than she is allowed to. When she starts questioning her origins and the destruction of Earth, things go horribly wrong for her. She is saved by a Minoan boy from an attempted kidnapping on her life – the perpetrators are evil Zulus and their dark ancient magic. Humans and Minoans are forbidden to interact with each other, and as she is taken back to their village she finds out why – they know of her, her kind and her destiny to save a dying race. Ava must rid them from the Council’s ruling and free the galaxy of The Shadow. Her destiny is to rise above the fall, because within her soul is the key to an archaic weapon that has been missing in the mix of a genetic code since the time of the ancients. As the prophecy unfolds she learns of her bloodline – a bloodline that makes her less human than she could ever have imagined. She alone has the power to destroy or save, but the mind-shift is a horrible thing. Ava will become what she hates to save the ones she loves. Beaten, poisoned, possessed and betrayed by her own emotions, she has no choice but to rise above it all… for that is her Destiny

Check out the Events page for Gravely Inanimated Book Trailer and Cover Release

It has been thirty years since the Voodoo Queen plagued England with the zombie disease that has since swept the world. Humans have had to learn to function around them while the dead kill innocent people. The government continues its efforts to try to contain and find a cure for the problem.

However, by the cover of night, a man who was born half zombie and half human known only as Aeron, roams the streets in search of protecting the upright citizens from the flesh eating creatures. One foggy evening Lucille Knight becomes one of these people, Aeron’s interest is instantly peeked. A woman who gets upset with him for saving her life? What is wrong with her?

But Aeron will have a little competition when Miss. Knight meets Lord Garrett Ashdown, the son of Earl Thomas or a man better known as: The Inventor. A man who builds automatons for the direct purpose of killing zombies; mysteriously understanding their blood and the way they sense humans.

Lucy is taken by the masked man known as Aeron and the equally mysterious Lord Garrett. With one concealing his true identity and the other hiding a ghastly secret, she doesn’t know which one is less dangerous. What secrets do Aeron and Garrett keep from Lucy? Will Miss. Knight be able to be with the man she chooses when she learns the awful truth?

It is still unclear. And the current edition isn’t spilling the beans just yet…
