Raven in the Grave Blog Tour @raehachton

read an awesome excerpt on Raven In The Grave

From Raven in the Grave, Book Three

I felt something dark overtake me.
Everything around me faded out of view, hazy on the edges, as I stood, motionless, peering at Ellie across the room. Feeling my gaze, she stopped talking to her friend, and turned, her eyes meeting mine.

In a trance, she walked slowly to me, the dance floor parting to allow room. I met her halfway, held out my hand. She took it, and I pulled her into me, spinning her around, so her back was against my chest. I moved her against my body in a sensual dance, sliding my hand underneath her dress, and up her leg. I lifted her and spun her around the room, as people watched, mesmerized.

I sat her down. Her hands hung at her sides, in total submission to me. I lifted them in mine, stretching out her arms, kissing her neck. My fingers ran down the length of her arms, wrapping around her wrists, feeling her pulse, now at a resting rhythm.

For a second, I caught Walter's gaze, that seemed to say what in the hell are you doing, Marcus? I marched around Ellie's hypnotized body, her eyes frozen in a distant gaze.

Her neck or her wrist? Her neck or her wrist? I was indecisive. But my ardent desires for her made the decision for me. I lifted her wrist to my lips, inhaling the scent of her vitality. The song of the night shrieked on a chord of pure terror as I sunk my teeth into her wrist, drinking her blood. The audience gasped. Red wine tainted my lips as I drank of her, fueling my desire. As it coursed through my veins, it stimulated me. I was unable to stop myself, even though I tried. Ellie was becoming limp in my arms, ready to pass out, hit the floor. Her pulse slowed.

Raven in the Grave (Pretty in Black, #3) Raven in the Grave (Pretty in Black, #3) by Rae Hachton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Well Rae has done it again, managed to suck me into an entire new place of existence, but actually managed to make me not want to leave. I always enjoy the journey the next book in The Pretty in Black series takes me. Just when I think I kninda know where she might be taking me, something picturesque and beautiful unfolds with a sprinkle of magic, paranormal and a land I never could have imagined myself. Every book something unique comes into play. The writing is poetic and thought provoking, dreamy and brilliant. At the same time I am torn between I want to find out how it ends - and I don't ever want it to end. A series I am lucky enough to have read will now just add more fulfilment into that place where goodreads harbour in my heart.
